From 15-minute shortwave broadcasts to digital platforms reaching listeners worldwide, RMK's journey is rooted in faith, partnership, and mission.
1977
In May 1977, RMK began through a partnership with TWR Radio from South Africa. Broadcasts were simple: 15 minutes each morning on shortwave with a 10W transmitter.
1987
In 1987, FEBA Radio from Seychelles joined alongside TWR. Daily broadcasts continued for 15 minutes at noon, reaching more listeners.
1991
In 1991, Feon’ny Vahoaka Radio became RMK’s new partner. Broadcasting moved to FM 105.0, offering clearer sound and wider access. audience.
1992
In 1992, FM RMK officially launched. A 20W transmitter strengthened its presence across Antananarivo.
1998
In 1998, RMK secured its official frequency: FM 102.4. A defining step in establishing its identity in Madagascar.
2003 - Today
In 2003, equipment upgrades increased power to 250W, expanding coverage. By 2014, RMK reached beyond the capital and launched its website. Since 2018, web radio and social media have connected RMK to listeners everywhere.
